Funerals

Preparing the Funeral Mass or Service of someone who has died can be a difficult thing to face. Please contact the Parish Priest or one of the Deacons to discuss the funeral arrangements, as they can offer practical advice and support.

 

The purpose of The Catholic Rite of Funerals is to offer worship and praise to God our Father and the author of all life, to pray for the one who has died and to offer support to the bereaved.

 

Arranging a Funeral involves the Funeral Director liaising between the clergy and the cemetery or crematorium staff to arrange a date and time for the Church Service and Committal suitable for all parties. It is vital that the minister leading the service has been contacted before finalising any arrangements.
